Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector

Because I've run out of my Clinique concealer, I was on the prowl to see if I could find another one to get me through the week. While in Ulta, I spotted the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector.

This concealer is average. I bought it in shade 10 which is Light. This product is supposed to brighten and conceal but it doesn't multi-task. It didn't really conceal my under eye circles and instead the little brightening effect it does have helps to highlight them. The coverage is very sheer so it does little to cover even my small acne spots.

The product isn't creamy and it doesn't blend. As soon as I put it on, it almost soaks into my skin and sets. There is no blending when that happens. It's basically another liquid foundation.

The only good thing I can really say for this product is that it's good for moisturizing.

ELF Liquid Eyeliner

This was a post that I forgot to publish a while back so I figured that it was better late than never!

This product came as a package set for me in my Christmas stocking. It's three liquid eyeliners: two glitters and a black. Honestly, I would not buy this set for the black. It's hard to use because its got a hard tip and you have to constantly re-dip it into the bottle to get a solid black line. When you apply it, the outside of the line is darker than the inside. However, it does stay on so I'll give it that.

The glitters in this package are great. They have a brush as the applicator and I've found them able to stay on all day. They're also really pretty and compliment many skin tones. I like that they're in a clear solution because I can put them over coloured products to add a bit of sparkle.

In all, I'm glad I got this as a gift because I wouldn't have normally bought it. If you like cheap products, it's worth checking out because the glitters are nice.

Revlon 3D Photo Ready Volume Mascara

So this was a mascara that I picked up from Target in the clearance bin. I just wanted something to experiment with and have swapped over to using it in my every day make up routine.

This product's brush is what really makes this mascara great. It's a harder plastic brush so it really combs through your lashes. I have noticed a lot less clumping and although I buy volumizing mascara, this lengthens my lashes as well. This mascara does not flake or smudge at all either. It applies evenly and my lashes do not feel "crunchy" while I am wearing it.

I also like that the end of the wand has bristles, so you can use it like the little ball wand in L'Oreal's Telescopic Explosion.

The only downfall of this mascara is that when you pull the wand out, mascara does cling to the end and I have to wipe it away. If I don't I do have a problem applying it without getting it everywhere. However, i think that for the effect that this mascara gives, it is worth it.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creme

Normally, I do not like a lot of lip products. I find the need to reapply them after I eat to be a little tedious and I don't care for glosses too much. However, I can appreciate a nice matte lip.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cremes are fabulous. They apply easily and are very creamy. It takes a few minutes for them to dry to a matte. The applicator is nice and easy to work with. And the pigmentation is great for the $5-6 you pay for the product. If I don't eat, the colour lasts a good 4-5 hours.

I bought the two colours, Monte Carlo and Stockholm. Monte Carlo is a blue based red and Stockholm is a nude. Both are very flattering and extremely pigmented. Now, with all matte lip products they do show lines and if you have chapped lips, they will be noticeable. You can use a lip balm before you apply or if you want to lighten the colour of the product.
