Neutragena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup

Because I finally ran out of my Clinique foundation, I have returned back to a drugstore favourite of mine! It's the Neutragena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup.

This is a really nice drugstore foundation. It has excellent coverage, doesn't break out my skin, can act as a sunscreen (which actually works), lasts all day and has a dewy finish which can easily be mattified with a powder. Thie foundation doesn't dry out my skin either. There are tonnes of shades so that one can easily match your colour. There is no offensive smell or anything. It's a but more on the watery side but that really doesn't affect the performance of this product.

I don't think you can go wrong with this foundation. It's nothing blow-me-away amazing in that I'm breakout free or anything but it is decent and I would recommend it to friends and family. It's a bit on the expensive side at around $13-15 and the open top makes it easy to spill but if you want a really nice drugstore foundation then I would pick this one.

Rimmel Kate Lipstick: Nude 113

I was planning on wearing a nude lip and sporting on of the most popular trends this season. I picked this up at Target because it was a shade close to what I've seen many of the beauty gurus on Youtube recommend.

However, I hate this product. I've only been able to wear it once and I had to put on such a thin layer that it really shouldn't even count. Every time I try and apply this, it looks like I just smeared foundation all over my mouth. I normally have no problems wearing mattes or wearing a nude lip but this was just terrible.

I honestly have no idea how long it wears or anything like that because I take it off as soon as I put it on.

I really wanted to love this product but I ended up not.

Nyx Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer

This was another buy that I bought for Prom. Because I didn't really like the Neutrogena concealer, I decided I was going to try out a new one. I looked at some reviews for this concealer and it got some pretty good reviews. It's also similar to my old Clinique potted concealer so I decided to give it a go!

First off, it is very similar in texture and application to the Clinique Even Better Concealer. The skin tone shade is practically the same. The Nyx concealers are both very creamy but they do not settle into fine lines. I bought the "Lilac" and "Porcelain" shades. They are both pigmented and cover up spots and under-eye circles very well. While the "porcelain" is used for obvious reasons the "lilac" is used to brighten and conceal yellow undertones. It looked interesting so I tried it out.

I did notice a subtle brightening effect with the lilac. However, I don't have very yellow under-eye circles so I think it would work even better on someone who did.

My only quells with this product is the lasting time - it only lasts about 4 or 5 hours. And the first time I tried the lilac concealer on under my eyes, it irritated a little. This has only been a one time occurrence but I thought it should be noted.

Definitely try this product out and see if you got the same results. It's only about $5 so it's a good concealer to test out if you like it!

L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Lingerie

Hi guys! I've been super busy lately preparing for the ACT and I just recently went to Prom which means that I've been a little MIA, but going to Prom meant stocking up with a variety of new beauty products to wear! This was even what I was wearing on my nails that night!

These strips have a gorgeous effect. They are gold flecks that start from the bed of the nail and then fade off. I layered the strip over a coral polish so that it would match my dress. They're easy to apply in that you just take the sticker off the piece of plastic and press them onto the nail. There are a variety of sizes so they fit all fingers. You can cut or file off the excess.

My one problem with this strip is that it's a plastic strip. Therefore, it at the tips of my nails where there would normally be chipping, the plastic comes up. This happened literally 12 hours after I applied them. It's not very nice to look at, I can't really cut or file it off, and it doesn't feel that nice. Unfortunately, this is a major downfall of the product and I wouldn't necessarily buy it again because of this.

Viva La Juicy Perfume by Juicy Couture

So, this has been a favourite perfume of mine. I like to spritz it on and it has a very sweet smell. It's very strong and a small spritz goes a long way. I like to spray it in a scarf that I am wearing or my hair since it lasts longer. I've actually found that I can last the whole day without having to spray it again if I spray it in my hair.

The actual perfume is a light flowery, fruity type. The base note is really nice and a more subdued vanilla-y flower smell than the fruity beginning. Originally, you smell a blend of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine, while the base notes are amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and pralines.

The bottle and packaging is really nice as well. It's stylish and girly. There is a pink bow on a crystal top on the bottle. There is the Juicy Couture logo embellished on the front as well. I want to also note that I liked how when I opened the packaging, it smelled like my perfume because the cardboard was scented.

I think that this perfume is a little expensive. I've noticed this to be a common trend among other people who either review or friends of mine who have this perfume. I think that it is worth the price and the hype though.
