E.L.F. High Definition Powder

I bought this product after hearing several good reviews about it.

These reviews are very true. I really like this powder and see it as a dupe for many, much more expensive, powders. The powder is loose and translucent. It doesn't come across as chalky, even on dark skin tones. It wears well and fills in pores and small lines. It leaves behind a matte finish and is very wearable. When I first started using it, I found it looked best if I reapplied it but it does have a nice 6 hour wear and this is in the summer in the Deep South.

The only problem I have with this is that it's messy. The sifter is kind of useless and when you open the lid, powder flies everywhere. I think they need to make the holes finer, so that less product can get through because I feel like I have wasted a lot that just fell to my floor.

However, for the $6 price tag, I can live. I think this is a really nice product and I will probably repurchase again.

Kracie Popin' Cookin'

So this is a bit of a different review. I ordered some Japanese candies for my sister's birthday that I always found interesting and she really liked.

I bought the doughnut and sushi packages. They were both enjoyable to make. It was an extremely interesting process and the results looked exactly like the tutorials online and the pictures on the box. It was relatively inexpensive too-only $5-6 a box.

The sushi one was the most interesting, especially when it came time to make the fish eggs. However, the candy itself wasn't very good. Neither my sister or I liked it. I also made a video on YouTube HERE for you guys to check out how we did it!

The doughnut one tasted the best-like doughnuts! I didn't film this one because I did it with my boyfriend. The doughnuts actually looked like mini doughnuts and it was the fastest to make. I enjoyed putting the sauces on and molding the dough.

E.L.F. Foundation Brush 1801

I bought this on a whim because I saw the $1 price tag and have been wanting to try out a foundation brush. I've actually been a little scared of gumping up one of my nicer brushes from Crown Brush with foundation so this was a nice alternative. BY THE WAY, if you ever want a nice set of reasonably priced brushes, check out Crown Brush at HauteLook. They have specials on their pretty often and are easy to use and get.

Anyways, my first impression of this brush is pretty good. I used up a lot less foundation with a brush and the end result looked more natural and not cakey.

The brush end is a little thin but overall seems sturdy. I've heard of problems where reviewers say they shed a lot but I haven't seen that. I've not had any problems with metal of the brush coming off or anything and for a dollar, I honestly wouldn't care.

If you want a foundation brush to try, go out and get this. It's $1 - how could you go wrong?

Kiss Everlasting French Nails

I bought these after my best friend wore a similar set-these to be exact- to prom. We figured that they would be a great alternative to acrylics.

I bought these and they were way to long! They reminded my of a witch's nails so I had to file and cut them down to a petite length. I underestimated how long the medium length was when I bought them. They didn't chip which held true to their "No Chip" guarantee and I liked the variety of sizes that came in the box.

The glue they came with was not that great. I would follow the directions and find air bubbles and over the course of the week you could see where the nail was coming up. Maybe this was because I've spent so much time in the water at the beach or in the pool - I don't know. I think these nails would have been better with stronger glue. Anyone have some good recommendations?

These are nice if you are wearing them for a night out or for a few days on vacation but if you want something that last longer - go acrylic.

Happy Summer!

Hey guys! Happy summer!

The school year has ended for me which means sleeping in late and partying all night. Okay, maybe not that extreme seeing that I'm an IB student and have an ACT to take, CAS Hours to fill and IB projects to start on. However, I am able to finally take a break and breathe a little. Plus, I can finally get that tan that I've been trying to work on so hard!

Lisi Peach Cobbler Eyeconic Duo Baked Eye Shadow Duo

This was an impulse buy that I happened to stumble on at TJ Maxx. I really liked the colours and I often find myself hoarding similar neutrals. However, the yellow in the shadow was a new twist and I wanted to try some of these baked shadows because I like the idea of being able to use two colours either separately or together.

Lisi is a brand that I've never heard of before. It's not a brand I've seen at any drugstores or makeup shops like Ulta so this product was a little bit of a gamble. However, I like the duochrome in the eye shadow and the product itself. The colour lasts all day; these are very wearable and easy colours to use. The shadow is a little stiff to get onto the brush, but it's very workable. The colour pay off is decent for a light duochrome like this.

I like the product and hope to see more from this brand. Check them out HERE because I was browsing through their website and noticed the 50% off your purchase. Who doesn't like good deals?

Beauty Boxes

So, I've been thinking about ordering from a beauty box of some sort. I've seen a lot of them on YouTube videos and whatnot and there is something about a monthly surprise (no pun intended) that catches my eye. I'd probably get one of the lower priced ones like Birchbox and was wondering if any of my readers order from one or knew someone who does? Stories? Experiences? Thoughts?

Clear Ultra Shea Cleanse and Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner

Honestly, this was a review I should have posted long ago. I got the sample a few months back but I just now got around to using it.

I really like this shampoo. I've noticed a huge difference in my hair and scalp since using it. I have a very sensitive and dry scalp which leaves it very itchy. I've tried some of the brand names like "Head and Shoulders" but I haven't really gotten much relief from them.

This product has overall improved the quality of my hair. I have noticed it is much softer (And I mean MUCH softer), less frizzy and more manageable and it's not like my hair was that bad to begin with. I have less dandruff which means that my scalp has improved as well.

The shampoo lathers well and the conditioner is very nourishing. The products are fairly cheap at around $4.98 for 12.7 oz. and are often found on sale. I would try them out if you're interested.

Bright Eyeliner!

I just wanted to show you guys my latest experiment with eyeliner! I like the different neon pops and have been using Urban Decay's Shadow Pencils and an angled brush under some liquid eyeliner.

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

Clinique's Moisture Surge Intense is a phenomenal product. I really don't think I could rave enough about it.

It has a gel-like consistency which allows it to soak into the skin very quickly. This means I can easily fit it into my morning routine without it taking up extra time waiting for it to dry. There is no greasy residue left over. It has stopped the flaking and appearance of the dry skin on my forehead. A little goes a long way.

There is no fragrance which is nice (I personally don't care for it in my make up.) I apply it under my eyes and there is no irritation and I have noticed an improvement of the dark circles and how quickly they disappear when I use this product. It does not clog pores and is great to use any time of the year.

I highly advise this product if you're looking for an excellent moisturizer.
